Before tackling the subject a warm up with different broody skies using various colour recipes

Sky cloud creates a large arc towards intended sun lit water.

Distant hills painted wet in wet with varying edge.

Foreground and middle distance hills painted as stage "flats".

Finish with a wash over grassy foreground.  Dark trees further accentuate focus
