ANU class 8.9.11
Below is the reference photo we used for the 8.9.11 class. Tathra beach NSW.

Some time was spent moving the beachgoers around in the drawing. With bright clothes on the two figures this should provide a pleasant balance to the wharf building. First washes create warm sky horizon with purpley shadows to clouds. These colours are reflected in the sea.

Sandy colours painted with wet in wet for the wet sand margin leaving the white paper for the water's edge.

Distant trees and first wash of the rocks painted broadly.

A few darks for the rocks. A cerulean wash over the sea areas leaving the sky cobalt showing. Extra passages express the distant waves and green roller close to the beach.

Wharf building and piles painted simply.

Finish with figures and their shadows and reflections. Cropped all around and signed- "Tathra Beach''
