Ray's awards
Ray has won over 30 first prize awards includiing overall winner, (''Champion Exhibit'', ''Best of Show'', Theme Prize'') and many seconds and commended over the two decades of his professional painting career. Only first and major prizes are listed below.
Most prizes have been as a result of local competions in the Canberra region and South Coast of NSW but also of note is the awarding of a major prize by the ''Australian Artist'' for their national watercolour competition, past Caltex prizes and a John Balmain Life and Portraiture Award. Ray was a finalist in the 2010 Cricket Art Prize open to cricketing countries around the world.
Of particular interest is the Living and Working on the Land, Horse Racing and Heritage Theme prizes...and not forgetting the ''Brooke Bond (a tea company that used to be a well known brand in UK) Art Prize for Children in 1959!
