Portrait format better suits the grand entrance shape. Minimal drawing, mask tops and lights of the people and apply first washes. The cool distant underwash has been carried under the rh of the first yellow building wash

In broad simple shapes, second washes applied.

Street to the right applied wet in wet and colours and shapes invented to appear as distant buildings

Large window painted using the cobalt and warm yellow paint of the limited pallette

darks create shaded glass and under the entrance and clock beam

people painted in simple shapes using some introduced colours

A few more strokes on the upper building to direct the eye to the street, some touches to express the stonework, more patches on street buildings to describe windows, etc. Slight crop at the bottom foreground and mat and sign - "Under the Clocks" Flinders St Melbourne.
